Private pilot is live for Direct Premium hosts 🤌

  • Collect security deposits from your guests for extra booking protection
  • Set the amount you want to collect for your listing's security deposit
  • It's free to use during the pilot, but a 2% fee will be applied to all security deposits after the pilot
  • This will only apply to new Direct bookings during the pilot

Custom domains are now available for every user 🌐

  • All users' custom domains have been imported to the new 'Domains' list
  • We're differentiating between external and Hospitable-managed domains
  • External: The domain DNS is managed externally, but we're aware of it
  • Hospitable-managed: We'll manage the DNS for you by connecting your server's name to us
  • We've also revamped the 'Domains' tab in the Sites view to have a better DNS verification
  • Custom domains can now be renamed

If we switched to a custom domain, would that replace this one (using ours as an example)  https://prideawaystays.hospitable.rentals/

Hi Jason, yes switching to a custom domain would allow you to replace prideawaystays.hospitable.rentals with something like prideawaystays.rentals (or whatever you choose). Giving you the ability to fully own the branding of the domain essentially.

We don’t offer the ability to buy custom domains through Hospitable yet but we’ll share pricing when we do. If you buy a custom domain elsewhere, we do not charge you a fee for using your new custom domain instead of prideawaystays.hospitable.rentals
 

I’m curious if we will have the ability to add customization on Hospitable websites soon aside from choosing a template?  I’d love to add more to the menu to be able to add a link to my rental shop, my guidebook, House manual etc.

No exact timeline on that yet ​@MarilynnTaylor but we do plan to provide more flexibility and functionality to Hospitable sites.
