This impacts hosts who were still using the legacy login connection to Vrbo. If you are already connected via the Chrome extension, no action is required. We’re currently working on an official integration with Vrbo which will resolve these issues permanently. We’re targeting a launch date at the end of March. As of yesterday, Vrbo has closed the login and password authentication method that powered our existing connection. That path no longer works for reauthorization. We have been preparing for this possibility since Thanksgiving 2025. During that period, Vrbo briefly changed their authentication method for several days and then restored it. Because we saw that pattern emerging, we developed and gradually rolled out the Chrome extension as a fallback option. We kept it available while the original connection method continued working for most accounts. In January, new Vrbo accounts could no longer connect using login and password. We updated our product so new connections would use the C

Blocking dates on the calendar for an owner stay, a maintenance visit, or a long-term guest booked outside of Hospitable? You can now keep your thermostat running as if the property were occupied instead of dropping it into Unoccupied mode. When you block dates on the calendar, you'll see a new toggle: Use Occupied preset for this block. It's off by default. Turn it on when someone will actually be at the property during the block. Hospitable will keep the Occupied preset active for the whole block, and whoever's there has full control of the thermostat for the duration of the block - no overrides, no fighting the schedule.Leave it off for regular blocks where no one is at the property. Hospitable will manage the thermostat as usual and apply the Unoccupied preset. The toggle only shows up on properties with a linked thermostat, and it applies to that block only meaning it won't change your default thermostat behavior.👉 More detail in the help article: Change Your Property's Availabili

Airbnb recently changed to a host-only service fee of 15.5%. To protect your payout, Hospitable automatically made a one-time adjustment to your Hospitable-managed fees, ensuring you still net the same amount after host service fees are deducted. You can change your property fees anytime by navigating to the Property → Pricing → Fees tab. We've also made an important change to how we report guest fees on Owner Statements and Invoices. 🔍 What’s changing Owner Statements will now show net income from cleaning fees, pet fees and other guest fees after host service fees are deducted. (Previously, we showed the gross amount the guest paid.)This paints an accurate picture that’s in alignment with how host service fees are charged — on both the nightly rate and every guest fee. This change ensures that whoever is responsible for paying the host service fee gets the benefit of any increase applied to offset that service fee, so that your owners are not unintentionally charged for both host serv

We've been exploring a new Home Dashboard experience and would love your inputOver the past few weeks, we've been testing an initial design with a small group of hosts. Based on their feedback (and feedback from our team), we've started exploring multiple directions. Now we'd like to hear from a broader group of hosts.Option AOption B Which approach do you prefer, and why? Some questions to consider:Which dashboard would help you stay on top of your hosting business more effectively? What stands out as particularly useful? Is there anything confusing or missing? If you prefer Option A, what would you keep from it? If you prefer Option B, what specifically makes it better? There are no right or wrong answers; we're looking for honest feedback from hosts with different workflows and priorities.Vote in a poll below and drop your thoughts in the comments. We'd love to discuss your ideas and learn more about how you use Hospitable day to day.

Co-hosts, we spent a lot of time polishing your experience with our Vrbo Partner connection! Every change feels a bit scary first, but here is the reality of what you can do with Hospitable. You CAN connect your owner's Vrbo account. All you need to know is the email of their Vrbo account, and then share with them a link to complete the connection between Vrbo and Hospitable. Your owners will add their credit card for the payment of Vrbo commissions. Vrbo will invoice those commissions on the first week of the month after the guest checks out. Vrbo Payments can be processed through STRIPE or through HOSPITABLE. If through STRIPE, your owners will need to connect THEIR Stripe account to Hospitable. They will be bearing all responsibility for chargebacks, underwriting, compliance; and reservations cancellation will still incur their payment processing fee (ie: cancellations are a cost to THEM). If through HOSPITABLE, your owners will need to verify their bank accounts. Hospitable will

👋 Hello hosts! Pleasure to meet you all. I’m a software engineer here at Hospitable and I’m currently investigating building SMS support into our product for you all but I’m eager to hear your feedback on why this is valuable to you.It feels like the main benefit-add to you all is the ability to push information in a timely manner to guests via SMS. I’m reading previous feedback that this solves a main gripe which is that guests don’t always attend to messages from you in time and so they miss things (such as check-in instructions, directions to the rental). If this is correct then I’m presuming there’s not a need initially for two-way communication via SMS (the guest being able to reply to the automated SMS messages)? We can definitely tackle adding SMS delivery to the Inbox and to automated messages relatively easily if one-way comms is the case. When it comes to SMS, what does that mean for you and your business? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this since it will help sha
