Feedback wanted: How do you onboard owners today?

Hey everyone! Leroy here from the Mogul engineering team!

I’m looking for feedback on setting up your owners after upgrading to Mogul. That first setup is a lot of work, and I want to make it as smooth as possible.

The problem

Upgrading to Mogul means setting up a second product before you get any value from it. You add every owner, assign their properties, enter their management agreements and invite each one to the portal, all before the first statement goes out.

That’s too much work up front, and I’m going to cut it down. Before we design anything, I want to know how you do it today.

What I want to know

Answer any or all of these. Rough numbers and the names of the tools you use help more than polished answers.

  1. How long does it take to fully onboard one owner? Count from the signed agreement to the owner being in the portal with a correct first statement. Minutes, hours or days: give your best guess. If you set up your whole portfolio at once, how long did that take?
  2. Where does owner information live before it reaches Hospitable? Airbnb co-host invites, signed management agreements, a spreadsheet, your CRM or accounting software, another PMS?
  3. What do you actually have on day one? When you sign a new owner, which details do you have: name, phone, email, payout details? Which fields do we ask for that you don’t have yet?
  4. How do owners get into the portal, and who keeps their details current? Do your owners respond better to email, SMS or WhatsApp? Do portal invites get missed? When an owner’s contact or payout details change, who updates them: you or the owner?
  5. Do you manage owners in another system? If you’d sync owners into Hospitable through the API or an AI agent, tell us what you’d connect and what it needs to do.
  6. Where did you get stuck? If you upgraded and never finished setting up owners, which step stopped you?
