We’re exploring ways to help hosts further protect their properties and guests - whether through damage waivers, damage protection plans, or other coverage options. If you’ve got a few minutes, I’d love to hear your thoughts:Do you currently offer damage waivers to guests? If so, do you use a third-party tool or handle it yourself? What’s working well (or not) with your current setup? What would you like to see Hospitable do in this space? How would you want something like this to work for your guests and your business? If you’re open to chatting more in-depth, feel free to grab a time on my calendar:https://scheduler.zoom.us/tim-hasfgr/damage-waivers
If you recently signed up for Hospitable (since the beginning of March), this is mainly for you — though we’d also love to hear from existing users who’ve recently seen our new “Set up & grow” section. We’ve been improving our onboarding experience to help you get set up faster and start seeing value right away. That said, we know a lot of the real setup happens outside the checklist — and that’s often where things can feel unclear.A few quick questions:How did you find your onboarding experience overall? Was anything unclear, confusing, or frustrating in your first moments using Hospitable? Did you get stuck at any point? If so, where? What’s something you wish had been explained or guided earlier on? (Something you had to figure out yourself or dig through help docs for, but could have been much simpler if included in onboarding)If you’re an existing user:Have you checked out the new “Set up & grow” section? Did anything feel missing, confusing, or particularly helpful?Even sm
👋 Hello hosts! Jake here from the engineering team 🙇We're getting ready to start building an inventory management feature into Hospitable and the Tasks App, and we'd love to hear how you handle it today.Specifically, we're interested in learning: How you currently manage this Any pain points you experience today, such as teammates forgetting to update inventory levels, or the logistics of restocking properties Our goal is to make setting up and managing inventory as simple and effective as possible for you and your team.Share your workflow, challenges, or wish list in the comments or book a call with our team. Your feedback will help shape what we build next. 💜
We've been exploring a new Home Dashboard experience and would love your inputOver the past few weeks, we've been testing an initial design with a small group of hosts. Based on their feedback (and feedback from our team), we've started exploring multiple directions. Now we'd like to hear from a broader group of hosts.Option AOption B Which approach do you prefer, and why? Some questions to consider:Which dashboard would help you stay on top of your hosting business more effectively? What stands out as particularly useful? Is there anything confusing or missing? If you prefer Option A, what would you keep from it? If you prefer Option B, what specifically makes it better? There are no right or wrong answers; we're looking for honest feedback from hosts with different workflows and priorities.Vote in a poll below and drop your thoughts in the comments. We'd love to discuss your ideas and learn more about how you use Hospitable day to day.
Hi everyone, another Nest thermostat update 👋Great news - we've now received Google's approval to move into a public pilot for the Nest integration. As part of the approval process, Google tested the integration and approved it for a public pilot.Over the past few weeks we've also been testing with a small group of users and Hospitable employee-hosts, and the results have been very encouraging. We're now ready to expand testing to a much larger group so we can gather more real-world feedback across different setups and continue polishing the experience before a full release. If you'd like to participate in the public pilot, you can apply here:https://hospitable.typeform.com/to/JvsYj0Z8We'll be onboarding users in batches as we monitor performance and feedback.Thank you again to everyone who's been following the progress, sharing feedback, and patiently waiting for Nest support. It's been a long road getting through Google's approval process, and we're excited to finally get the integrat
👋 We'd love your feedback on the Property Overview page in Hospitable. We're exploring ways to improve this page and want to better understand how you actually use it.A few questions:When do you typically visit the Property Overview page? (For example: after connecting a listing, checking something, changing settings, troubleshooting, etc.) What question are you usually trying to answer when you open it? Examples: Is everything connected correctly? Is my property performing well? Do I need to do anything? I need to change a setting. Something else? When you first connected your property to Hospitable, what information would have been most useful to see on this page? Which parts of the current page do you actually use regularly? Is there anything on this page that feels confusing, unnecessary, or in the wrong place? If you could redesign this page, what would you change / what would you make it? As always, screenshots, examples, and brutally honest feedback are incredibly helpful
Co-hosts, we spent a lot of time polishing your experience with our Vrbo Partner connection! Every change feels a bit scary first, but here is the reality of what you can do with Hospitable. You CAN connect your owner's Vrbo account. All you need to know is the email of their Vrbo account, and then share with them a link to complete the connection between Vrbo and Hospitable. Your owners will add their credit card for the payment of Vrbo commissions. Vrbo will invoice those commissions on the first week of the month after the guest checks out. Vrbo Payments can be processed through STRIPE or through HOSPITABLE. If through STRIPE, your owners will need to connect THEIR Stripe account to Hospitable. They will be bearing all responsibility for chargebacks, underwriting, compliance; and reservations cancellation will still incur their payment processing fee (ie: cancellations are a cost to THEM). If through HOSPITABLE, your owners will need to verify their bank accounts. Hospitable will
👋 Hello hosts! Pleasure to meet you all. I’m a software engineer here at Hospitable and I’m currently investigating building SMS support into our product for you all but I’m eager to hear your feedback on why this is valuable to you.It feels like the main benefit-add to you all is the ability to push information in a timely manner to guests via SMS. I’m reading previous feedback that this solves a main gripe which is that guests don’t always attend to messages from you in time and so they miss things (such as check-in instructions, directions to the rental). If this is correct then I’m presuming there’s not a need initially for two-way communication via SMS (the guest being able to reply to the automated SMS messages)? We can definitely tackle adding SMS delivery to the Inbox and to automated messages relatively easily if one-way comms is the case. When it comes to SMS, what does that mean for you and your business? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this since it will help sha
Hey hosts! We're exploring how to surface guest reviews inside the Owner Portal, and we'd love your input before we get to work.Today, owners can see their dashboard, calendar, and statements — but not the reviews guests leave for stays at their property. We've heard from some of you that owners ask about reviews directly, and we want to understand what a great experience would actually look like for you and your owners.A few questions we'd love your take on:Should owners see all reviews, or a highlight of the best reviews in a time period? Should owners see just public reviews, or also private feedback? Should they see your review replies? Would you prefer this be a part of the Dashboard, or embedded on monthly Statements/Invoices, or entirely separate? Should we notify owners of great reviews? We’d love any and all feedback about how you envision this working! Like all features in the Owner Portal, this will be permission based, so you’ll be able to allow some owners to see review
You can now set different minimum and maximum prices by day of the week in Dynamic Pricing — giving you more control over how your rates flex throughout the week. Many hosts see consistent patterns in demand. Weekends book higher. Midweek can be softer. Until now, your minimum and maximum price limits applied across all days. With this update, you can tailor those limits by weekday. How it worksInside Dynamic Pricing, you can now: Set a minimum price by day of the week Set a maximum price by day of the week Keep your overall strategy intact while fine-tuning weekday and weekend performance For example, you might: Set higher minimums for Friday and Saturday Allow lower minimums midweek to increase occupancy Cap peak nights higher while keeping tighter controls on slower days Dynamic Pricing will continue adjusting nightly rates based on demand, seasonality, and local trends — now within the day-specific ranges you define. Why it mattersThis gives you more precision without adding
We're rethinking how commission agreements work in Mogul — and before we build anything, we want to learn from property managers! If you're a property manager and are willing to share how your commissions are structured and give feedback on early prototypes, book a time here. We’ve got several slots open tomorrow, and we’d love to hear from you!👉 https://scheduler.zoom.us/t/l5hhbthi/how-do-you-calculate-commission
