Are task rules dynamic? E.g. the simpliest use case is paying cleaners when a guest checks out. Each property has a different cleaning rate and payment method. Do I have to create a unique cleaning task for every property i own or can I assign cleaning, with the rate and payment method dynamcially adjusted based on the property?

Hi @rhett you should setup a task rule for each property. In each task rule you would set the price for the clean and the bank account to use for the payment. The task rules will automatically create a cleaning task for every new reservation using the price and payment method for the rule.

Is the $5 cap per property or $5 cap per Hospitable account/property manager?

The $5 cap is per payment run.

We include one free payment per active property per month. If you average one cleaner per property and you pay monthly, it's 100% free. Additional payments will cost you up to $5 each. If you pay per clean and your cleaner makes $150/clean then you pay $2.25/payment.

This is how we are structuring our cleaning payments - as a direct result of this monthly benefit. It’s quite important and a big thank you to @Andrew Schorr for pushing this initiative.

I’ve added lawn care as a recurring maintenance task every two weeks in the system. I’ve assigned the person and the property to it. The payments go through Hospitable, however, none of the payments show in either the owner’s statement or the business statement. They don’t even appear as a transaction, so I have to manually add them. I hope these recurring routine tasks, such as pool or lawn maintenance, can be created, and the transactions will then show in the statements.

Hi @trey,

Thanks for the call out on this, initially we’d launched syncing only cleaning tasks to the owner and business statement. Now we have the “charge owner on statement” checkbox in transactions this makes it much easier for us to open it up to all tasks.

We’ll work on enabling this for all tasks and get back to you.

We've been using the Tasks app to coordinate our cleaners and honestly, we really like it. The workflow, the task tracking, the payments all in one place, it's made a genuinely time-consuming part of the job much easier.

One thing that bothers us though: several of our cleaners work with us only occasionally and also work with other agencies/hosts directly. Right now, when we invite a cleaner, they receive:

  • an invite email branded as Hospitable, not our company
  • reminder emails also branded as Hospitable
  • portal access via tasks.hospitable.com, not our own domain

This is a genuine drawback for us. We don't want to reveal to occasional/freelance cleaners which PMS stack we run behind the scenes, and a fully branded experience simply looks more professional to the people we work with day to day.

What makes this feel like a solvable gap rather than a big ask: you've already built exactly this for the Owner's Portal (Settings > Brands — custom logo, brand name, primary color, and a connected custom domain instead of owners.hospitable.com). The infrastructure clearly exists. It would make a real difference if the same branding/custom-domain system were extended to the Tasks/Teammate Portal — invite emails, reminder emails, and the portal URL itself.

Given how central the Tasks app now is to daily operations, this seems like a natural next step rather than a nice-to-have. Is this on the roadmap? And if there's already a workaround we're missing, we'd genuinely appreciate a pointer.

Curious to hear from other PMs managing their own brand who'd find this useful too.

That's a feature request I don't think we've heard yet @Azur, thanks!

I've created a request here so others can upvote: https://feedback.hospitable.com/p/allow-hosts-to-brand-the-tasks-app

Great thinking on this!
