how can we capture phones and emails from our guests?

Unfortunately Stayfi requires hardware from what I understand and my Eero router/modem only has 2 ethernet ports so it really would be a significant cost to change everything. I only have one listing that I would use the service for. Just not sure it is worth it. Already paying for Hospitable (messaging and website hosting) and Pricelabs. All these costs are eating away at my net income.

Since you have an Eero router you actually have the best option. A single StayFi Express will distribute the StayFi network across all of your nodes! And the cost of the StayFi Express is only $90! StayFi Express

I have Eero routers in multiple properties and I got StayFi Express for those properties. It is working quite well thus far.

Hi ​@anthonyrallo, we do not currently have an integration to sync back into Hospitable. We can look into this and see if this is something we could make work with the Hospitable team.

That would be wonderful. Based on the new “burner numbers” with Airbnb, it’ll be helpful to have correct info in our “source of truth.” 

 

I am also trying to facilitate something similar with MarketMySTR via StayFi.

Hi ​@mindi!

Here’s how that contact info from Rental Agreements is stored and where you’ll see it:

  • It’s written to the reservation’s contact fields: phone and email
  • It’s associated to the guest on that reservation so it shows up in the Inbox sidebar and in the Reservation details panel
  • It’s included in reservation exports and any integrations that use reservation contact fields (CSV exports that include reservation phone and email columns).

We ask for the email in a sepperate message after booking. We get about 80% of them. We list a phone number for them to text us and about half do.

Hi Petra, are you certain that Hospitable exports include data from rental agreements?

I’d like to ensure that Rental Agreement inputs can be exported too. We are connected to MarketMySTR and want to have that info live in our CRM as a source of truth. ​@Petra Podobnik - does it?

Hi everyone! Just to clarify my note above, by contact info from the rental agreement I meant phone and email.

So to clarify; name, phone, and email collected via Rental Agreements do flow into the reservation data and are included in the Reservations and Financials CSV export. However, other fillable fields, like IDs, addresses, or vehicle details, are not currently exportable and can only be viewed within the signed agreement in the UI.

Hey Petra - I have phone and email as fields to fill out on the rental agreement but only about 10% of my guest exports have the email filled in.  Just about all have the phone number.  So I’m not certain the guests are filling out the email field.  Is it set to be required? Just curious why I am not getting many of the emails.

Each fillable field in a rental agreement has both a “required” and “not required” option. When you add a field like {Guest email} to your template, you can choose between these two variants from the dropdown. Could you please check if yours might be set to “not required”?
