Wander? What do you pro hosts think about WanderOS?

Check out this thread from a couple days ago. I had the same question and concluded our places aren’t “fancy” enough to be listed on Wander.com but that their WanderOS (a separate thing) is potentially a sexy replacement for Hospitable’s direct booking site templates.

WanderOS is more of a platform/engine offering. 3% guest-paid fee + payment processing fee (so 6%) You are the merchant of record, and Wander assists with chargebacks but doesn’t completely take care of them like Hospitable Premium would. Wander run checkout and fraud prevention. This would essentially replace your direct booking website, and it is still unclear to me how it would appear in Hospitable, though it evidently does sync with Hospitable.

Wander.com is a marketplace. An alternative to the OTAs; more curated and with higher standards. The fee for this is higher; Wander charges an 8% host fee and a 3% credit card processing fee (so 11%). They don’t accept everyone into the marketplace and they have relaxed some of their brand standards/requirements over the years.

We built our own that uses the Hospitable API. Working pretty well.

I don’t see the value. Fees and not much protections. We had a call with them but wasn’t convincing. I’ll still do hospitable direct premium.
