Hey! I’m curious how y’all handle compensation for upsells like early check-ins or late check-outs. Do you keep it the same split as regular booking income, or do you handle it separately since it’s a bit more work on the co-host/property manager’s side? Just wondering what others are doing, and especially how you explain it to owners.

Good question. I am interested in this too. Right now we use the same 80/20 split.

Right now we do the same split, BUT I feel like it should be a host incentive 🥳

Property managers are offering upsells like early check-in, airport pickup as additional service. This should be entirely kept by the PM not shared with owners. If you are collecting the payment for this through Airbnb, it becomes difficult to manage, but if collect those additional service payments through your own payment process like stripe or others, (ChargeAutomation is a good tool for this) then you dont have to share it and keep it to yourself as you worked extra to earn this revenue.
