We’re excited to announce that Airbnb Security Deposits is now live in Beta for all Host, Pro, Mogul & Direct Premium hosts! We’ve officially rolled this out to help you better protect your properties from damage and bad actors.
This feature lets you automatically collect, hold, and release deposits for Airbnb reservations - with built-in chargeback protection and seamless messaging baked in.We’ll be expanding access to all Host, Pro, and Mogul users in the coming days.
Key benefits:
Automated deposit handling: We’ll collect and release funds automatically - no need to chase guests. Charge requests from the Inbox: Submit charges directly when issues arise. Built-in chargeback protection: We manage the process end-to-end and recover funds if needed. Smarter check-in flow: Check-in instructions won’t be released until the deposit is secured. Simple setup: Just set the deposit amount and we handle the rest.
Pricing:
A 2% processing fee applies to each deposit collected. This will appear on your monthly invoice.
To get started:

Enable the experimental features toggle in Settings > Preferences

Set your deposit amount in Properties > Pricing > Security Deposit
