This week's updates focus on catching problems before they cost you money - unverified bank accounts, overdue payments, and stalled Booking.com connections all now surface proactively on your dashboard. We also shipped a Guest Portal payments upgrade and a couple of quality-of-life fixes to messaging.
Guest Portal
Ad-hoc charges now route through the Guest Portal 💳
- When you hit "Request payment," we no longer send a Stripe or Adyen payment link - we create an actual payment entity that routes guests through the Guest Portal to pay
- Vrbo Merchant of Record reservations are now supported too
Dashboard & Notifications
Bank account verification alert 🏦
- We now show a dashboard notification when your bank account isn't verified yet, including how much in payouts verifying it will unlock
- It links straight to your accounts overview so you can verify from there - the notification clears automatically once you do
- This surfaces specifically when a payout fails because of an unverified account, not the moment you first add one (you'll still get the separate email reminder for that)
- Existing users with an outstanding payout on an unverified account have already had this notification backfilled
Overdue payment term alert 💰
- The Opportunity Dashboard now flags overdue payment terms for both Direct and Vrbo bookings, as soon as they're marked overdue
- Dismissible, and it clears itself automatically once the payment term is paid or the reservation is cancelled
Booking.com connection follow-through ✅
- If you start connecting a Booking.com account but don't come back to import your listings, you'll now get an alert an hour later prompting you to finish
- Between 20–25% of hosts who start this flow never complete it - this closes that gap
Checkout tasks opportunity 🧹
- If you've had 2+ Airbnb bookings in the past month and haven't set up checkout tasks, you'll now see an opportunity prompting you to add them
- Refreshes weekly; adding checkout tasks resolves it
Messaging
No more em dashes in AI-generated guest messages — last one for old time sake
- Auto Reply, Suggest with AI, and Improve with AI no longer produce em dashes in guest-facing text
Fixed: scheduled messages staying paused after guest verification approval 🔓
- Approving a guest's verification wasn't always lifting the hold on their scheduled messages
- Approvals now correctly resume the message schedule
