We're excited to share that Fillable Fields in Rental Agreements is now live in Beta for hosts across all plans (including legacy)!

We've rolled this out to easily capture key guest details when they sign your agreement. It's especially helpful if your HOA or local regulations require specific information from the guest.

Now you can collect that info directly through Hospitable, without needing additional tools like Docusign.

🔧 How to use it:

  1. Enable the experimental features toggle in Settings > Preferences
  2. Go to Guest Experience > Rental Agreements
  3. When editing your agreement, click "Add personalization" and select fillable field
  4. Choose from a list of built-in fields, including:
    • Guest name, email, phone, date of birth, age
    • Address and billing address
    • Passport/Document ID
    • Reason for travel
    • Vehicle info
    • Tax ID
    • Relation to booking guest

These are items I was wondering will be added.

  • Custom Text boxes or fields
  • Label options for the custom text boxes
  • Check boxes
    • Grouped Boxes
    • Select at least
    • Select at most
    • Select exactly
    • Choose Range
  • Initials
  • Signature boxes (for multiple signatures)
  • Dates (with fixed date formatting)
  • Phone numbers with fixed formatting ie (XXX) XXX-XXXX versus XXX-XXX-XXXX
  • PDF Scanning Feature with capability to add these fillable fields
  • Instead of a seperate required personalized fillable field, maybe the option to make any fillable field required or not
  • Will these fillable fields be available with API connections to CRM’s (Im using MarketMySTR)

    I know this is a lot, but having these options in my opinion will make this feature well worth it.

Do you have beta features enabled?  If you do not go to settings→ Preferences->General toggle the switch for beta features. Then the fillable fields should come up.

Please make it obvious from inbox that the rental agreement is not signed. I have to click on each booking/message thread to know which agreements I need to follow up on.

I’d like to request the following.

  • guest_nationality (lead)
  • accompanying_guests_nationality (not needed if realizing sections)
  • accompanying_foreign_guests_number (not needed if realizing sections)
  • company_name
  • business_address
  • project_costcenter

Furthermore it would be great to be able to define our own fillable fields. Also, please work on repeating sections (fillable fields shouldn't always be mirrored) for capturing multiple guests (defined by logic: all guests, all over 18, only lead guest). Regarding sections, please also allow multiple ID verifications (defined by logic: all guests, all over 18, only lead guest). Next would be an option to activate “Request guest identification” but make it optional for the guest (so two options for maximum flexibility: required, optional). Regarding e-signature, please redesign it as a short code, which can be placed anywhere and if needed multiple times (regarding sections) in the rental agreement. If you do so, please differentiate between host and guest e-signatures (two short codes). Moving e-signature to short codes gives way more flexibility, because e-signature then also can be left out. Therefore rental agreements could be used as forms for data capturing.

Just a heads-up that fillable fields add quite a bit of complexity to the UI, so the team is focused on adding those that bring the most value to a broad range of hosts.
