Google Nest Thermostats Are Now Available to Everyone 🎉

We have been waiting years for nest to finally integrate glad to see it wasn't lost in other features that are a higher priority 

Glad you like it, it did take a lot of time to go through the Google’s certification process. We couldn’t even run a private pilot until we got the approval otherwise things would move considerably faster.

We replaced all of our Google Thermostats with Sensi on all of our houses.  Google nest use to be the thing but, i am not sure if they had several bad batches but where we are they seem to break very easily.   Our HVAC contractors as well as the different electric companies in our state do not recommend google thermostats. This is not just one area in the state.

Hi there. Are the actual thermostats free or just being able to use them from hospitable?

I have the Nest integration turned on, but it’s not working correctly for my property.

The property has 2 thermostats and both show up on my property dashboards. 

Unfortunately, the integration is correctly controlling 1, but not the other.  The same issue has occurred over multiple bookings.

How can I get the issue investigated?  I’ve asked Smarty over email to open an investigation ticket, but it doesn’t seem to want to actually open the ticket.

I’ve checked your account, both thermostats are currently online and in the unoccupied mode. I’ve reached out to you via support ticket you opened and we’ll debug it there 👍

This is great news. Is there any potential issue with the way that Google Nest “spies” on people, meaning it seems to know when people have left the house and sets the temp back to Eco. It reports this in my Google Home app. It’s not an issue for us as the owners who live in the house, but now it can tell if guests are moving about in the home

Good question ​@Jen R . Yes, Nest automations can override settings our integration sets. Home/Away assist should be turned off since Hospitable manages the presets.
