Hey Hospitable Hosts!

We’ve heard your feedback that metrics and reporting can be frustrating, unclear, or just not giving you what you need. There is a project scoped for Q3 to give metrics a makeover, and we want to understand more so we can improve.

What metrics do you check regularly? What feels missing, confusing, or unhelpful?

Drop your thoughts below. Screenshots, sketches, wishlists...everything helps. 

This is what I’ve created for myself in Excel. I’m sure there are aspects that would be very helpful for other hosts/PMs.

 

Those spreadsheets are epic mate, are you able to share the template files and share the instructions of the required hospitable export file columns and instructions to get the data to import into the excel file?  These graphs are what we need in the metrics sceen!

Sure, happy to share. I should have been more accurate, as they’re in Google Sheets, but same difference for the most part. The sheets are definitely made just for me, so for sure not as user friendly as they’d be if it were some kind of public product, but if you’re reasonably good with excel/sheets then it shouldn’t be too hard to work with.

There is some manual work required to get a new year going on the charts… I didn’t streamline that process as much as it could be, but I can include a few notes on how it all works.

Please release this update asap because when this drops our frustration will even higher. 
 

 


Looking at metrics it gives me a comparison of revenue, bookings, etc comparing this month to last. Since I’m in a tourist destination that doesn’t help me at all - it’s expected different months will give me different metrics. What would help is comparing last year to this year. Show me July- August 2025 compared to July- Augist 2024. That’s how I know if I’m growing or what I need to concentrate on. 


The old metrics had some very significant data sets that I’d like to see:

 

  • Messaging
    • We used to be able to get a total message count for a period of time, day of week, user, and property. This would be highly valuable for outsourcing and planning for busy seasons.
  • Booking day of week
    • We used to be able to get a report on which days of the week were the most busy in terms of booking activity. 

These are just a few that I remember, but many were very good.

 


 


We manage as cohosts so we need to be able to remove things like cleaning fees and set cohost percentage to properly see our earnings and potentially our owners. The gross values are very inaccurate. 


On the details chart, I need totals for every column! Also, being able to sort would be helpful.
