We've released plenty of updates over the past two weeks that we're excited to share! Everything from improvements to upsells, security deposits, owner statements, cleanings, and more!

Upsells

Upsell requests are live for all users βœ…

  • There's now a setting that allows you to require your approval of the purchase of the upsells you create and offer guests
  • You will receive a notification about a guest wishing to purchase one of your upsells, which you can either approve or deny
  • The guest will be notified of your decision and charged for the upsell if approved

Cart abandonment email reminders πŸ›’

  • Guests who add upsells to their cart, but do not proceed to buy, will automatically receive an email 24 hours later prompting them to complete their purchase
  • This will naturally help you increase the conversion of the upsells purchased by your guests

Support for timing settings ⏰

  • You can now set a time for when you want to offer custom upsells to your guests
  • The setting lets you choose the time window and use the check-in and checkout as a reference point

Security Deposits

Waive deposits for trusted guests ❎

  • You can now waive a deposit on a per-booking basis for Airbnb and Booking.com reservations
  • From the inbox thread, you'll now see a Remove Deposit button, which will remove the deposit for that booking only
  • This is useful if you have repeat guests or ones that already have excellent reviews

Booking.com

New property details page for Payments 🏦

  • If you have a Booking.com listing, you can now set up payments with them through the property's settings
  • The benefits of this include fraud checks, choosing payout frequency, and picking net or gross payout methods
  • We'll check if you have permissions to set up Booking.com Payments, and if not, we will provide a quick way to update your settings and enroll in it

Owner Statements

All properties belong to a business 🏨

  • To make owner statements and accounting functionality work more seamlessly, we have now associated all properties with a business
  • If a property had owner statements set up, we created a manager business for you and associated the property with that business
  • If a property on Mogul doesn't have owner statements set up, we created an owner business for you and associated the property with that business

Zero revenue reservations πŸ“‘

  • Mogul users will now see bookings that generate zero revenue, including Owner Stays, on statements and invoices
  • This only applies to reservations that have been accepted, not ones that were cancelled

Operations

Choose three preferred marketplace cleaners 🧹

  • During one-off task and task rule creation for autopilot cleanings, you can now select up to three preferred cleaners from the available list
  • If more than one cleaner is selected, an additional screen allows you to rank them in your preferred order
  • Your cleaner ranking is saved per property and will be automatically applied to future tasks and task-rule creations

Show the distance to your property πŸ“

  • We will now show you the distance between your property and the cleaner to ensure you can have one as soon as possible

Discounts for cleanings πŸ’

  • You will now receive $40 off your first cleaning when you set it up through our Autopilot Cleanings marketplace
  • You will also receive your eighth cleaning for free once you reach it
  • This applies to both automated cleaning tasks and ad-hoc cleanings

AI

Display the reason why Auto Reply didn't send ℹ️

  • We will also notify you by email and send a push notification to teammates who have Inbox permissions
  • This is enabled by default, but can be turned off in the Inbox AI settings of Guest Experience

Direct

Updated list of states where we can apply taxes πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

  • Kentucky: All sales taxes and state-level lodging taxes will be retained
  • Oklahoma: All sales taxes will be retained
  • Virginia: All sales taxes will be retained
  • Wisconsin: All sales taxes will be retained

Quick question: do you have any update on when the security deposit feature will be available in the Eurozone / for EUR currency?

We’re really looking forward to using it, but it’s still unavailable for our EU listings.

Hi ​@AzurΒ and ​@abdelouahed! We are actively working on expanding security deposits and upsells to the EU. We plan to release support for security deposits in the EU and Canada within a few weeks. We have a bit more work to do to handle taxes and compliance for upsells so I don’t have a date to share on that yet, but more to come soon!
