Great news! In addition to a list of awesome new features and improvements, we’ve added the ability to easily switch to annual billing on the Host, Professional and Mogul plans.

So here’s the deal, if you know you are going to be on Hospitable a year from now, why not switch to annual and save 12% off your Hospitable expense?

Here’s how it works: you pay up front for the number of listings you expect to have for 12 months, and that upfront payment gets you 12% off.

If you add more listings, we’ll bill you for any overages at the regular rate.

Drop some properties? We’ll automatically add account credits at the regular rate, so you save on your next invoice.

Head to Settings and Your Plan page in Hospitable to see how much you could save.

Save 12% with annual >

Note for Legacy plan customers: an annual deal on Legacy is way too complicated due to the structure of the pricing e.g. the 1st property costs a different amount to the 10th, 30th etc.

Please let us change subscription plans on the app! As of now we need to open a browser and I’m always on the go. Don’t even own a laptop. Operate everything from my phone. Thank you!

I got my 12% discount and paid for the year upfront!

We would love that too!

Unfortunately, having payments in the app would either (1) paying back 30% back to Apple, which means being 30% more expensive across the board (because we are not allowed to discriminate!) or (2) having no app at all.

I think you do remember: we did allow the ability to pay from our app, and were suspended from the App Store.

Hospitable had no mobile app for several months, until someone realized at Apple realized they could not enforce their in-app payments in our case, yet required we don’t support any payments on mobile apps.

If I have my trial still active, will it be only available after my first paid month?

Correct me if I misunderstood the question @AnitaRo but even if you are in your trial period, you should be able to see the ability to choose the annual option from the plans page in settings, and immediately start your paid subscription on an annual plan vs starting on monthly.

Ok. For some reason it doesn’t seem to be available. Not sure if because I had already selected a plan. But I will try with support. Thank you!

This is great. With monthly though, if we don’t have any bookings at a property (i.e. we mid-term rent for a few months during the low season) then Hospitable does not charge for that property. With annual, will credits be applied for these properties?

This is something to keep in mind whatever is best for you. Depending on your situation, that may differ.

  • If your property is using Hospitable’s Dynamic Pricing, there is no seasonal adjustment going forward, because Hospitable is pricing your property for the next booking that may several weeks in the future.
  • Your plan always includes a number of included properties, no matter what. That is 1 property for Host, 2 properties for Pro, and 3 properties for Mogul. This represents a minimum quantity you will have to pay for a monthly or annual plan anyway.
  • Above the minimum quantity, on an annual plan, if the property is not billable, you will be credited back that amount (after discounts). That is extremely unique!

If you have 2 properties on the Host plan, not using Hospitable’s Dynamic pricing, and one of your properties is going to be on mid-term rentals, you may be able to commit 1 property for the full year, and save money. Whenever the second property is billable, then you would be charged an extra fee for that second property (without discount).

If you have 3 properties on the Pro plan, and committed to 3 properties, but the 3rd property is no longer billable within the year, then you are credited back each month whenever the property is not billable ($15 after 12% discount = $13.2 credit note). Whenever you renew your annual subscription, those credits are rolled-over to lower the amount of the cash you have to pay out for your next annual invoice (if those credits have not been used in another Hospitable invoice).

So, if you have more months rented as short-term rather than mid-term, it may still make sense to opt for annual, be credited back the months when you are hosting mid-term (if the listing is indeed not billable), and this rolls-over into the next renewal or the next payment.

Every dollar you pay on an annual is a dollar that is being serviced by Hospitable. No predatory behaviour here!
