Is anyone elses reservation data all buggy after this migration? How on earth can/will this be resolved.

Do you mean for the new (official) reservations or the older ones?

new ones look OK. seeing several VRBO reservations that got corrupted during the migration. Been waiting for a response from support to no avail.

My migration was really quick. I recall reservations appearing twice at first, but now the old reservations look normal. The one thing I need to be mindful of is to treat them differently for taxes.

I have several bookings that appear to be 2x. Not sure if dupe records slipped in. Will probably be an easy fix when i can get support help as they can purge non unique reservation records. I’ll try to keep patient but LMK if you guys have any tips on connecting with support.

@Marina Coimbra I’m sorry to have to use this forum again for support, but it can’t wait the 2 days support time as the clock is ticking on this.
I had a VRBO booking request I accepted and it’s not synching back to VRBO. It still shows the timer I have to accept the booking on VRBO, in the meantime all my cleaner notifications etc. have already sent out.
Additionally the auto accept message sent broke the guest portal link so the guest has no way of signing our liability waiver. I opened a ticket with a screen recording of the issue.

Hi @Wabbles can you check again today?

It's a limitation on Vrbo's end. They only process Request to Books and Cancelations next day at 4am Texas Time. So we charge the guest and everything is accepted, but they take long to update things on their end. So by now it should be solved.

I do recommend strongly to use instant booking with Vrbo because instant booking syncs instantly.

Expect the same behavior for cancelations, we will cancel it once they request it but Vrbo takes until 4am texas time to process it.

Links sent will also only be shown once a reservation is marked as accepted on Vrbo. That means that links will appear to the guest after the 4am window.

What we have planned to do to help you with that is sending an email to the guest whenever there is a link on the welcome message and it is a request to book. It's not there yet but it is something for us to pick up soon.

Hey Marina, yes, it updated but honestly this is an insane downgrade to the old integration. Same day inquiry is basically not possible. Next day inquiry unlikely to happen if they can’t get half the information.

I am not sure this is the best thing. I am not liking the 5% charged to the credit card per booking. I think I would prefer to have VRBO take it out prior to me receiving the payout.

Was it possible before? I believe it is not possible currently even if you are managing things directly on Vrbo. Cancelations at least still take the same amount of hours to update. It's just how Vrbo does things, not really an integration issue. What we can do is hold communication until Vrbo actually communicates the status changes to the guest, that was what the legacy connection did.
Would you prefer that?

I thought I had the integration to VRBO done correctly, but when I got to VRBO owner Dashboard and try to click on the calendars there, I get a message saying “We need more information about your listing”.  VRBO says it is Hospitable’s problem.  What do I do now? Also requested help on the app, but two days seems like a long time to wait for help!

Hi Joyce,

We’re among a handful of others who have similarly run into an issue. There is a community thread on it over here:

The short version: Vrbo has quite a backlog (roughly 20-days) to complete activation on their end.  Until they can complete your onboarding, your property sits in an offline state.

I’m bringing this back again - still not solved. Prior to the VRBO/Hospitable integration, I had signed up with VRBO for Host with Confidence. is this going to work with Hospitable?

And if you go to protection options in VRBO, the option is gone. VRBO has never felt like a stable platform.

Getting reservations via VRBO with missing message threads and confused guests ( & me the host ). Anyone else experiencing this and have any idea how to resolve? Or just one of those black hole bugs on VRBO you have the accept. smh

My biggest issue with VRBO right now is that their system blocks reservation modifications at random phases of the reservation - sometime before the cancellation period, sometimes after, sometimes during the stay.  It also does not drop the taxes when a booking is converted from short-term to long-term (under 29 nights vs over 29 nights).  With this transition, will modification requests be able to be sent to guests immediately, automatically, and at any stage of a booked reservation prior to check-out?  If a guest accepts, will the modification price change, along with any new charges or refunds, be processed immediately?
