Hi Hospitable Team,

I recently integrated my listings with VRBO, but the system automatically forced all my booking types to "24-Hour Review." Even after manually changing my settings to Instant Book, a booking request came through that requires approval.

There is currently no option or button in Hospitable for me to accept this request. Additionally, it has been over 24 hours without access to a human support agent. Please advise on how I can accept this request before it expires.

I’ve been following up with the team, and I should have more information soon.

What I found out is that the button is in the Inbox:

  1. Open Inbox
  2. Open the guest’s conversation thread
  3. Scroll the message timeline to the Booking request card (listing image, dates, countdown)
  4. Use Accept / Cancel on that card

The team will also check your account to make sure everything looks as expected with regard to this issue.

Hi @arlene! I can see that the guest submitted the stay request again, and it was accepted successfully.

If you enabled Instant Book less than 24 hours before the booking came in, that could explain why you still had to confirm the reservation. Vrbo syncs these settings every 24 hours, so there can be a delay before the change takes effect.

If there wasn't a button to accept the request, our Support team will be able to investigate further. I can see you already have a ticket open with them, so they'll be able to look into the details and provide an update.

P.S. It seems Instant Book is not enabled. To do so, head to Property > Availability > Instant Book. 💜

We had the same issue today. We migrated to the new VRBO integration yesterday and received a booking request.  VRBO says we have to accept the request in our property management software, but we are unable to find anywhere in Hospitable to accept.

When I followed the link above to check on instant booking it was turned off for VRBO. I am fairly certain it was on prior to the migration.

The guest called VRBO to try and cancel and rebook now that we have instant booking turned on.  However VRBO was unable to cancel the booking and told her she needed to wait until the booking request expires and try again.

Anyway, we have instant booking on now so it should not be an issue in the future.

Just curious, where should we have been able to find the mysterious accept button?

Chiming in here, I am currently experiencing the same problem @Slheise11

I personally prefer approving my guests as a vetting mechanism and received my first booking at my newest property, with the full VRBO integration, but the inquiry was made by the guest and they have elected to book; however, there is no “button” for me to accept them. I would like to get this resolved before the 24 hour period is up.

@Petra Podobnik, are you able to assist with this? Does Hospitable and the new integration favor “Instant Book?”

Ah, I forgot to update you here! I've been reaching out to the team working on the Vrbo integration to find out more about this. I'll update you as soon as I hear back. 💜

@Petra Podobnik  I’m also having the same issue as @Slheise11 .  Everything looks correct in Hospitable, but in VRBO it still shows a countdown and says to accept “through my property management software”.  No button to approve/deny in Hospitable as it’s already a confirmed reservation. I want to be able to review and not instant book, and accepted the booking request through Hospitable when first sent.

@Petra Podobnik I’m having the same issue.  Vrbo called me and neither of us can do anything.  We have to wait for it expire so she can try it again.  Super frustrating!!!

I’ve encountered the same issue. And the AI support is inadequate and very frustrating.  I’m at wits end with this PMS.

Our team is improving this flow, so it should soon be much smoother and visually clearer. Will keep you posted.

Showing VRBO reservation accepted in Hospitable, but still marked as a booking request in VRBO. Why is it not syncing? This integration seems like it has a lot of bugs.

Seeing the same frustrating issue here.

My Hospitable setting is configured for Booking Request.

The booking has been accepted in @Hospitable, but Stayz/VRBO is still showing the reservation as a Booking Enquiry.

There is also no option in the Stayz/VRBO app to manually accept the booking, so at the moment I’m completely reliant on the integration syncing correctly.

This new VRBO partnership/integration is becoming pretty frustrating. An accepted booking shouldn’t remain sitting as an enquiry with no way for the host to intervene manually.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
