Manual booking vs direct booking

When a manual booking is put in - it needs to trigger emails and text messages to the guest because none of ours are actually going to out the manual booker. None of the message triggers are actually reaching them.

For manual bookings, messaging rules need to be specifically scoped to the "Manual" channel. Here's what to check:

  1. Open the messaging rule you want to send to manual booking guests
  2. Under the "Scope" section, make sure Manual is selected as a platform

If everything looks correct on your end, I’d recommend reaching out to our Support team so they can investigate further.

Emails work for manual bookings so long as you have Manual scoped in your messaging as Petra mentioned; also, SMS will be supported soon we hope for automated messages!
