If you put in an amendment does the software automatically factor in the weekly discount on airbnb? I think we set it at 10% but I forget. The guest wants to know the extra cost for the extra few nights including the weekly discount.

Your title says "direct bookings", but it sounds like this is not a direct booking? It's an Airbnb booking? I believe when you do a reservation alteration it's completely up to you what to enter as the additional charge for whatever it is the guest is asking for. If their original stay was less than a week and they're extending it beyond a week, you would need to figure out what they would have originally been charged If they had booked it that way to begin with, and just charged them the difference.

Thank you Tom!

This is what the google ai told me shortly after.

Yes, if you use Rule-sets in Hospitable to manage your weekly discounts, the software will automatically factor in the 10% discount when you amend a booking to extend it, provided the new length of stay meets the criteria.

@Ken Collins I would trust the built-in AI chat (Smarty) over Google, to know the ins-and-outs of how Hospitable works. The main thing I’d want to audit while making the alteration, is whether the discount gets retroactively applied to the nights that were previously booked, or whether it only gets applied to the newly-booked nights. Regardless of the “suggested price” of the alteration, you should be able to change it to whatever you want.
