How can we automate messaging for garbage day pickup?

Hi. I was wondering if you guys had a system to automate garbage day pickup. For example, every Tuesday morning, the garbage trucks come and empty out the cans.

For example, I could send an automated message every Monday evening and recommend the guests to pull the cans to the front, but the garbage pickup schedule is dynamic depending if there's a holiday in the week. Maybe I don't ask the guests to pull the garbage can?

Thoughts?

You can set up a message to be sent to guests on a certain day of the week. Here’s the menu path for it: Guest Experience > Messaging Rules > Add New > On a Given Day of the Week

As far as handling the holiday exceptions, as each holiday approaches, you can go to Guest Experience > Pending Messages to edit the content and delivery timing of those specific messages.

@fali - You can approach this a few ways. @Tom Beerley has a great method if you want it to go out only on a specific day (like the night before).

For us, we try to prevent our guests from putting garbage out until necessary to limit the potential for bears to try and break in. Therefore, we have a message go out on day 2 of their stay (with a limit that it must be 3 or more days) that says this.
