Quick poll for the group, because I'm really curious.

How many of you pay for an AI subscription like Claude or ChatGPT? I'm on the $200/month plan because I run most of my businesses through AI now: guest messaging drafts, pricing analysis, owner statements, my website, and a lot of the busywork in between. It's become the best money I spend each month.

But I don't know if that's normal or if I'm way out on the end of the curve. So:

1. Paid plan. Which one, and what do you mostly use it for?

2. Free version only. Is it good enough for what you need?

3. Don't use AI at all, outside of Hospitable's built-in AI features.

If you're in group 3, I'd love to hear why. Is it trust, time to learn it, cost, or you just haven't needed it? And if you're paying, what's the one thing it does for your hosting that you wouldn't give up?

I pay (the smallest plan, whatever that is, I don’t recall) for GrokBot and its been fabulous.  Fills in a TON of gaps much cheaper than Mogul.

I pay for the $20/month plan for Claude. You pretty much need that to run the Hospitable MCP (due to the limits on the free version).

I haven't played around with Grokbot, but I do know all of its features, and I can imagine how one agent can help automate dozens of tasks that you probably otherwise wouldn't want to do. Great work on the integration.

Oh, I didn't even think about how the free version would have limitations. That's good to know. And honestly, with the $20 monthly plan, there is so much that you can actually do. It's really impressive. I've even heard it can outweigh the $200 plan if you're savvy with the $20 plan.

I use chatgpt, $20 plan. I'm a heavy user... I even dabble with all the others at times as they all have strengths and weaknesses. I max out my usage a couple times per week. I have a bunch of agents running ( basically a couple employees all tasked with specific goals) a ton of Hospitable usage ( weekly reports, updating a master Google sheet guest list, calendar reviews, updating guest PDFs for local activities, etc), helping with my social marketing, hooked to my email, and do much more... Even runs my daily protein log. 😄 Very powerful tool if used correctly and if you setup automation.

Hope this helped.

I outgrew the free plan in the first day or two (Eli is correct that using the Hospitable MCP isn’t very feasible on the free plan). I was on the $20 plan for a while, and I resisted upgrading by just buying extra credits to get me through the occasional heavy work session without having to break my concentration. But I started feeling like a kid at the arcade that had to keep pumping quarters into the machine to keep playing LOL. After I burned through $300 in credits over a few days of heads-down development, I went to the $100/month Max plan. And then eventually even that plan starting being too limiting! So now I’m on the Max 5x plan at $200/month. The way I look at it… I’ve basically got a part-time employee working for me now… it’s well worth it.

$20/month with Claude. My business now depends on Claude. It’s the best $20/month I spend.
