Hi. Does anyone know how to get pet fees to be findable on VRBO? We have two pet friendly rentals, but there is no clear way when guests are booking to select the pet reservation, and then I am stuck pestering guests for a pet fee. It is noted in the property description, and is set as a fee on the listing, it just never seems to pop up as an option when people book.

If the guest clicks on “I am travelling pets,” then the price gets automatically included in the reservation. Please note that VRBO only allows per stay/per night pet fees. No per pet fee.
And if the guest selects that pet option, then it would show in the Hospitable fees section.

Additional information, VRBO for US is not showing the pricing breakdown anymore. So the pet fee is not visible to guests.
But if the book from elsewhere like Australia, they will see the pet fee in the breakdown. Example of the ame listing and dates.
You are already doing the right thing by mentioning it in the description. Now you just need to charge the guest if they don’t see the pet fee in Hospitable. I hope this helps.

Thank you. This confirms I am not going crazy with this not being visible to guests. But, what ends up happening is: people book, there is no indication that they have a pet, a pet stays, and I need to pay a higher cleaning fee, and then when I try to get the fee from the guest after arrival or checkout, it seems like I am scamming them and asking for something out of line. I have already noted on the listing on VRBO that due to some problems with how they display fees, people should tell me at booking if the have a pet, but some people don’t.
