I'm just curious how is everyone going about marketing their short-term rentals? I've tried the social media And paid campaigns but I'm having trouble getting traction

I believe a primary driver for most hosts is marketing to previous guests via email.

ya, I’m thinking the same thing. How have things settled out with StayFi and Airbnb?

Hey Shawn, the CEO of StayFi has explained that nothing has really changed for them and StayFi allows for an opt-in to remain fully compliant. I personally have stopped asking guests for email addresses when messaging them, as that could be problematic. And I am planning on rolling out StayFi at most of my listings.

Hey Eli,

Thanks, its good to know StayFi still allows for a compliant opt-in.

I have been thinking I should be incorporating StayFi- anybody have any negative feedback on the matter?

Appreciate you sharing this!

Best,

Shawn

My only negative with stayfi was the equipment costs when we installed 3 years ago. I beleive they have other options now that can leverage existing equipment. Otherwise our experience has been great with them so far.

When marketing to previous guests, consider offering them a $10-$25 gift card just for sharing your listing with their network that then turns into a new booking.  An extra step to track, but worth it. People will do a lot for a free Starbucks Frappuccino 😁

Yes. That is correct. They now have StayFi Express, which is compatible with existing routers.
