We’re about to launch a private pilot for Owner Payouts — and we’re inviting a few Mogul hosts to join.

With Owner Payouts, you’ll be able to pay your owners directly from Hospitable, starting in November for October’s published statements.

To join the pilot, you’ll need to:

  • Be on the Mogul plan

  • Be using Owner Statements

  • Be ready to invite owners to the Owner Portal

how do owner payouts work? are they paid after checkin like airbnb? or once a month? are expenses tracked in hospitable?

Does it only work if you are using the statements through Hospitable or can you tell it a different amount? 
For context- we do have the statements set up so the home owners can see the projected revenue but don’t actually add the expenses etc as we use Clearing. 
Also if we already have a cleaner is it in the works to be able to pay them from Hospitable as well? Thanks

Surely that will be customized to the particular business practice of the Host’s company, ya?

For my co-hosted properties, the payouts go directly to the owners, and then I bill them monthly. So, I don’t think this specific use-case is helpful for me. However, I have an adjacent use-case question related to owners setting up banking information that I wasn’t sure where to post, so I am posting here… let me know if I should put somewhere else. 😀

 

I want to be able to allow my co-hosted properties to have a direct booking page where I use the Hospitable booking widget, but payouts still go directly to the owners. I have to manually add in the sensitive banking information to add their bank account when I currently do this. However, with this feature, if we are going to allow owners to put their banking info through the owner’s portal for payouts can we allow that information be used for direct bookings as well? I hope my question makes sense...

Hi ​@Alex 66 ! They are tied in with the process for publishing Owner Statements, so are sent monthly for statements that are published. Expenses are indeed tracked in Hospitable on the Mogul plan, so this takes that into account as well.

We have heard some feedback that some users will want to pay out more frequently, so we have that in our pipeline for a future improvement, however this first iteration will be once monthly.

Hi ​@beth.admire ! This is tied directly into Owner Statements, so you must be using Owner Statements to take advantage of this feature. In order for this to really work for you, you’d also need to be managing your expenses in Hospitable (via our Transactions features). That way we have the full picture of what’s owed to the owner both in revenue and expenses, and can calculate their payout accordingly. 

Yes paying cleaners is something we have planned! It’s already possible to find and pay cleaners via our Autopilot Cleanings, but we also plan to act on our customer’s feedback that they want to “bring their own cleaners” that you already have an existing relationship, and pay them - that will come soon as well!
