💸 Shape the future of Owner Payouts - Tell us how you pay owners today (the good, bad and the ugly!).

We want to learn more about you and the way you work today:

• How do you currently pay out your owners? We pay through an ACH
• What’s the most frustrating part of your current process? That I can’t get Hospitable’s Owner Statements to work or match correctly to my current process of using Excel
• What’s great about how you do it today, that you’d want to keep? Accuracy of it.

And, we’d love to hear about how you hope this will work in Hospitable:

• Where would you expect to go to find this feature? Time savings
• How do you hope it will work?  Hoped that it will make the owners statements easier
• How often would you want to be able to pay your owners? Monthly
• What would make you change your process, and use Hospitable’s Owner payouts? I would use owner payouts if owner statement’s were correct.
• What would make you choose to stick with your current process? Inaccuracy and not working correctly.

Hi ​@cdfurry! We’d love to help get to the bottom of the inaccuracies you’re mentioning. I didn’t see any recent conversations with our support team about this, but maybe it’s under a different email. Could you please reach out to support@hospitable.com with some details, and cc me emily.tunggala@hospitable.com? We can take a deeper look. It would be great to hear how you want your commissions configured, and see a current example of the excel sheet you’re using. 

I have converted everything so that the owner is paid And then I bill them directly. Either way, regardless of how the owner or I am paid I would like to have hospitable drop their funds into their account. We have Airbnb and VRBO set up to deposit directly to them But unfortunately, any direct bookings are still going to my account which just really makes accounting unclear. Me not holding their funds, allows me to not be responsible for an escrow account and me just providing a service instead of opening unnecessary doors and muddying the water on income/taxes.

I would like to see the owner portal, have a link extended to owners or an option in their portal to add banking information. Whereas I cannot do it for them since I don’t have access to their verification tools. If it was as simple as adding an accounting and routing number that would be wonderful, but it seems like the security is extra strict in this case. Thank you for your effort!

• How do you currently pay out your owners? Write all of their payouts down in a spreadsheet, then take that you the bank ACH processor and add them back in one by one. I also work with clearing, an STR specific processor, and they allow sending all published payments at the same time. This saves a ton of time. It pulls the numbers for me and then I can deselect any payments I do not want to send yet.
• What’s the most frustrating part of your current process? One by one and takes 10 times longer than it should.
• What’s great about how you do it today, that you’d want to keep? ACH processing, gets to owners quickly, no extra cost to send it

• Where would you expect to go to find this feature?  owner statement area.
• How do you hope it will work? See above
• How often would you want to be able to pay your owners? Once a month or once every 2 weeks
• What would make you change your process, and use Hospitable’s Owner payouts? An integrated payment that can happen directly from the owners statement or can pull all statements at once
• What would make you choose to stick with your current process? I won't switch if the process remains manual.
