After a successful private pilot, we’re excited to open things up and invite all eligible hosts to give it a try.

What’s in the Beta?
You can now connect supported Kwikset smart locks directly to Hospitable and start automating access for your guests.
What You’ll Need
-
A Wi-Fi–enabled Kwikset smart lock (like Halo)
-
Access to the Devices page in Hospitable
-
A little curiosity and a few minutes to set things up!
We’re All Ears
This is still a beta—things may evolve, and your feedback is essential. Found a bug? Have an idea? Let us know through the app or by replying to this post.
Ready to test it out?
Head over to your Devices page to get started and start unlocking doors (and possibilities).
Thanks for being part of the journey.

Anyone else having issues connecting to their Kwikset account via Seam? I am getting the error message “Could not login with the provided credentials”. I have disabled MFA but still can’t get to connect.

Hi, this indicates an issue on the Kwikset side related to the authentication. Please reach out to support with the account email and we can check it out.

I ended up changing my Kwikset password and it worked. Now waiting for a new reservation at my only property with a Kwikset front door lock (the rest use Schlage) to see how this integration plays out.Â
i have been using it for almost a month, it is great! It saves me loooots of timeÂ
Had my first booking post-integration. The code was created automatically with the guest’s mobile phone’s last 4 digits. The only “issue” is that the code does not appear on the Kwikset app. I was aware of this as this was in the documentation. I just wonder if the code will be visible in the future like Schlage or if this is a Kwikset limitation. I had to wait until check-in time to see if the guests successfully opened the door. That bit was a little anxiety-inducing :)

Glad to hear the integration worked smoothly for your first booking, that's always a big milestone!
The current limitation is that Kwikset codes created through the integration don’t show up in the Kwikset app. This is due to how Kwikset’s API handles third-party access. Unlike other integrations we support, Kwikset app doesn't currently allow code visibility via external integrations.
We don’t have an ETA yet for when Kwikset will make this possible, but as soon as they support it, we’re ready to implement it on our side.
Hello,
I tried to connect HP to Kwikset Halo Smartlock but it is not available in the list of lock device Brands that are allowed to connect. I can see few of you here have been using HP to manage the Kwikset door passcodes. Can someone please provide suggestions to connect Kwikset?Â
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thank you
Lokesh

Hi, Kwikset Halo should be a supported device. You can check the full list of supported devices using this link. Kwikset is the newest lock integration that is currently in the open beta which means you need to have beta features turned on to access it. Feel free to reach out to support if you have trouble setting it up.
Hey @Lokeshwk! Just to add a bit more context on the open beta and how to enable it. Here’s an article with step-by-step instructions: https://help.hospitable.com/en/articles/5388483-how-do-i-enable-beta-features
I hope this helps. :)
@Kristijan Laco - yes, I saw that list of supported locks and many models of kwikset were in the list. ThanksÂ
Â
@Petra Podobnik - I have enabled Beta features in preferences now but I don’t see Kwikset yet in the list of Devices. I’ll check again later. ThanksÂ

@Lokeshwk Have you tried clicking the Connect button from the Connect devices page? Kwikset should be on the list of the integrations that can be selected.
@Kristijan Laco , I just tried that but I couldn’t see Kwikset in the list. I will contact support.Â
@Kristijan Laco and @Petra Podobnik - It looks like we have to give it some time maybe. Just when I was typing out an email to HP Support, I thought about trying one more time and I saw it in the list of devices. I have connected and matched it to the property. I had to turn off the 2-factor authentication to connect as it will interfere. Now, can I turn it on?

@Lokeshwk I’m not really sure that it wouldn’t work with the 2FA, no one reported similar issues. That login screen you’re redirected to is on the Kwikset’s side so there shouldn’t be any issues. Feel free to enable 2FA and let us know if it’s not working.
For the first connection, I got message asking me to turn off the 2FA. Anyways, I don’t mind keeping if off.
@Kristijan Laco and @Petra Podobnik Thanks for all your help!Â
