We've made some exciting updates to Marketplace Cleaning, Security Deposits, and Upsells! There are also some quality-of-life improvements to ensure you and your team stay on top of your operations.

 

Operations

Add images to Marketplace Cleaning checklists 🖼

  • Hosts can upload multiple images to checklist items for marketplace cleaning tasks
  • Images automatically sync to Cleanster when the booking locks 1 hour before the scheduled cleaning
  • Cleanster cleaners can view these images to understand the expected property condition after cleaning

Withdraw funds from the Marketplace 🏦

  • You can now withdraw funds by navigating to your Settings, Payments and Payouts, then Marketplace
  • A new Withdraw option appears in the ellipsis menu alongside the existing Add Funds action
  • Clicking Withdraw opens a modal displaying the available balance that can be withdrawn

Notification rule for check-in and checkout times

  • You can create a new team notification rule that will update your team when a check-in or checkout time changes
  • This will automatically trigger when guests purchase an upsell or when team members manually adjust the check-in or check-out times in the Inbox⁠

Security Deposits

Payment recovery for failed deposit collection 🤌

  • We'll now automatically retry failed security deposit payments every hour and for up to three attempts
  • It will send a notification to guests after failed attempts with a link to retry their payment
  • Guests will see a dedicated portal task to easily resubmit their payment information

Upsells

Streamlined guest experience for upsells 🛍

  • After adding an upsell to the cart, guests are directed back to the product catalog page, where they can easily access the cart
  • There's a quantity selector added within the cart in case they forgot to add additional items
  • We've grouped items pending approval at the bottom of the cart for clearer visibility

Messaging Rules

Updated shortcodes for task and guest data 💌

  • Use %task_type% in task notifications to automatically display the specific task type (cleaning task, check-in task, checkout task, maintenance task)
  • Use %adults% to automatically show the number of adults in a booking ("1 adult" or "2 adults")

Booking.com

Booking warning about payment status ⚠️

  • We now show a warning badge on the reservation to remind you when a payment needs to be collected from a guest

No worries, you didn’t miss anything! We did have an Owner Management workshop on Wednesday, but not really focused on cleanings or what’s in the changelog here. Town Hall will be this coming Wednesday and it will be an exciting one - stay tuned!
