Hi Hospitable hosts!

Would you be interested in paying around $100 for an in-person workshop with the Hospitable team, that helps you get the most out of Hospitable?

We’re currently gauging interest and finalizing the details.

The first in-person workshop would likely take place on September 15, 2025, at or near the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at the Entrance to Universal Orlando.

Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

Would you be interested in?

I’d be interested in a virtual option.

I’d be interested in a virtual option.

We do offer a paid and virtual account tune-up option that you can consider. More details here: https://www.notion.so/hospitable/Paid-Customer-Onboarding-Account-Tune-Ups-by-Hospitable-AKA-the-Rapid-Rollout-Rapid-Refresh--15756ea83e8e8069aafecebe62772cd3

This can be booked from the Help page in your account where it says “Book a Rapid Refresh”

@Miles Hobson

$500 for a rapid refresh session is a definite, no.

Considering AirBnb’s increased service fee to 15% for hosts using a PMS such as Hospitable, these sessions should be encouraged at no cost to validate the value of keeping Hospitable.

Regarding the 15%, when a property is connected to Airbnb through a PMS (Property Management System) like Hospitable, Airbnb typically changes the fee structure from a split fee (3% host/12% guest) to a host-only fee (typically 14-16%).

This actually means guests see lower prices as they don't have separate service fees added at checkout, making listings more attractive and potentially increasing booking rates.

If you prefer, you can offset the increased host fee by adjusting your markup rates.

Regarding the rapid refresh. That's the cost to us of staff hours to run 5 hours of 1:1 with a host. We wouldn't be able to do such in depth training with everyone for free, hence us looking at different options such as this in-person suggestion where we would be doing the training to a large group at once. And every two weeks (alternate weeks to the Town Hall) we run free virtual workshops on specific features - we've recently covered AI, Direct, Zapier, and have Airbnb and Booking.com lined up for the next two https://calendarlink.com/event/rcMI9

It would be cool if one of the hosts had a private property we could meet on instead of a Hilton.

Great suggestion @BeccaNogoHomesMN - and full transparency, we haven’t booked location yet and it will depend on how many registrants we get. We’d love to do it at a host’s property if possible based on numbers and ability to get catering.

We’re suggesting at or near the Hilton as the VRM Xtravaganza will be happening there September 15-17, and it will make the logistics easier if nearby https://www.vrmxtravaganza.com/

After doing the maths in a little more detail, we realized that we needed to set the price at $249 + taxes, in order to cover the cost of hiring a space, lunch, snacks, and refreshments, and for the cost of our team’s time.

If you are interested in attending the event, you can find out more in @Petra Podobnik’s post here:
