Has anyone got an explanation about why I should stick with a channel manager when I am paying a 15% host fees because of it.  The rational is the guest pays it if you bump up nightly prices .  One way the guests sees it in their payment and the other way it is there but hidden .  Either way it is included in the totals they see when they shop.  Help me with this? Aren’t I increasing my price (hidden from guest) and becoming non competitive?

You pay the 15.5% Host-Only Fee whereas you used to pay just 3% for the host fee and the guest paid “14.1% to 16.5% of the booking subtotal” as well. Under the split-fee model, the total fees were 17.1% – 19.5%. The Host-Only model removes about 1.6% to 4% in total platform fees from the transaction. The only differences is that the host pays the entire thing instead of it being split. This is why most hosts use the markup feature on Hospitable.

They have rolled it out to all software-connected hosts. Hosts that are not software-connected and are still on the split-fee model are able to stay on it (for now). I believe if you switch to host-only fee you must stay on it.
