The Hospitable MCP capability is amazing.  I use Hermes Agent due to ease of use, broad technical support, and ease of using local models, but this same approach should work with the LLM of your choice.

Some agent jobs I have (sends nicely formatted email, word doc attachment and telegram messages for urgent issues):

  • Sun 5:00 - Weekly Local Experiences Report:  Scours the internet for our markets (North Florida 30a, Bourbon Trail KY and Glacier Park MT).  Generates 10-15 events / activities for the next 7 days and adds to memory.
  • Sun 7:00 - Weekly Customer Avatar (Wendy hybrid).  Generates customer avatars for our guests.  Initially run for “all time” then runs weekly to update our customer avatars so we can target our social media marketing.  “Wealthy Wendy”, “Family Focused Faith”, etc.
  • Daily 6:00 - Daily STR Ops Digest :  Reviews Hospitable messaging for previous 24 hours and sends  a digest for check-ins, check-outs, guest issues, etc.
  • Daily 14:00 - Daily T-1 Guest Event Messages:  Packages up “Weekly Local Experiences” report (see above) and sends a guest message the day before check-in that tells guests things they can do during their stay.
  • Sun 5:00 - Weekly Hospitable Reviews + Social Cards:  Pulls guest reviews for previous week and generates graphical representations we can use on social media.

  • Sun 5:00 - Weekly Guest Origin Report.  Pulls location information from guest based on their platform profile (if available) or area code (if location not available).  Useful for targeting social media marketing.
  • Sun 5:15 - Weekly Pricing & Pacing.  Hospitables + Pricelabs MCP.  Pulls pricing and pacing report, vacancy days, etc. and generates recommendations  for one time pricing adjustments or base price adjustments to increase revenue.  Extremely high value.
  • Sun 5:30 - Weekly Trailing vs STLY :  Hospitable + Pricelabs MCP:  Compares CY performance to STLY performance as well as market penetration index (MPI) to evaluate how we’re performing since last year and against competition.
  • Daily 5:00 - Daily Lock Battery Snapshot .   Sometimes Schlage locks jam and drain batteries in 24-48 hours.  Hospitable may not catch it.  This report to email and telegram shows delta since previous run and color codes based on magnitude of delta as well as RED for battery <30%.  This catches jammed locks (e.g. lock drains more than 2% per day).
  • Daily 15:00 – Host Guest Review Pack.  Generates guest reviews (short, long form)  based on interaction and messages with guest during their stay.

Great examples, @Steve Goldsby.

This is where I think MCP becomes particularly interesting for hospitality.

We’ve been approaching the same problem from another direction with Una by Polydom: instead of creating a collection of individual automations, we’re building an AI Digital Employee that can use PMS context, guest conversations, policies and operational rules together — then communicate, take action or escalate to a human when judgment is required.

The distinction between “AI giving me a report” and “AI actually doing the operational work” is becoming very interesting.

I’d be curious which of these workflows has created the biggest measurable time or revenue impact for you so far.

Here’s a great use case.   I’m going to do QC checks at my properties in FL and KY next week.  I asked Hermes (using Hospitable MCP) to generate a QC checklist based on best practices and issues guests have raised in the past year.  30 seconds:

KY + FL Guest-Issue Walkthrough Checklist

Built from Hospitable public/private reviews and ops issue alerts, past 12 months (≈ Oct 28, 2025 – Oct 28, 2026). Active properties only: Backroads & Barrels (KY) + four 30A townhomes (FL). Glacier and Lowcountry excluded.

Walk dates: ____________________  Tech/HK with: ____________________  Phone photos of defects: Yes / No

How to use this packet

Print single-sided or duplex. Carry a pen. Check boxes on site. Photograph anything broken before leaving. Do-first items are reputation / repeat-failure risks. Property pages are punch lists on top of the shared FL list.

Suggested order if time is tight on 30A: Ivybridge → Twickenham → Lochshire → Merry Way. BRB = its own day.

Standard walk order (every home)

☐  Arrive like a guest — lockbox/code, first 5 minutes of friction

☐  Life safety — detectors, GFCI, extinguisher dates, railings

☐  Water — every toilet (2–3 flushes), every shower, kitchen faucet, fridge water, under sinks

☐  Power / comfort — AC to setpoint, each thermostat, ceiling fans + remotes, cart outlet

☐  Sleep — strip one bed per room type; check protector + sheet stains; squeeze pillows

☐  Kitchen load test — basics visible; fridge shelves; ice; opener/knives; dishwasher if time

☐  Garage / cart / bikes / beach gear — function, rust, seatbelts, charge test

☐  Outdoor — deck waste, cushions, chairs, lights, grill/fire features

☐  Consumables — paper, soap strength (not watered down), trash bags, TP, laundry soap

☐  Photo defects + note vendor follow-ups before you leave

DO FIRST — recurring / reputation risk

These showed up more than once in the past year or already cost stars/credits.

All four 30A homes (Ivybridge · Lochshire · Merry Way · Twickenham)

☐  Smoke / CO detectors — Press-test every unit; replace any that chirped after power blips (Ivybridge heavy; credits paid on beeping stays).

☐  Fridge water dispensers — Fill/flush/filter; confirm cold water + no leak. Failures at Ivybridge and Twickenham (ops tracked into Sep).

☐  Door locks / codes — Set known test code; lock/unlock from outside; deadbolt throw; backup code path; lockbox works.

☐  Garage door + laundry GFCI — Full open/close; reset/test GFCI that killed garage (Twickenham pattern).

☐  Golf cart / LSV — drive test — Drive, reverse, lights; every seatbelt (Ivybridge rear belt dead).

☐  Golf cart — charge cycle — Charge on house outlet; watch for heat/smoke/smell (Twickenham smoking cart plug).

☐  Golf cart — key + lockbox — Key present, lockbox labeled, waiver/code path matches welcome book.

☐  Linens / towels — stain check — Hold sheets/towels to light (Ivybridge queen sheets + towel; ops stained-sheet alerts).

☐  Mattress protectors — Replace any plastic / shower-curtain feel (Twickenham ★4).

☐  Deep clean under furniture — Entertainment console, couch edges, rugs (Ivybridge: chips/dust/toys → cleanliness 4).

☐  Beach chairs — rust — Replace any that transfer rust to clothes (Ivybridge).

☐  Carpets — spot stains — Especially bedrooms (Ivybridge).

☐  Kitchen faucet spray pattern — Full on/off/pull (Lochshire sprays sideways).

☐  Fridge door shelves — Load-test with bottles (Lochshire shelf won’t hold weight).

☐  Bathroom odor cold-start — Smell half baths / guest baths (ops: sewer-like odor on FL).

☐  Deck / balcony pet waste — Full walk before leave (Twickenham ★4: dog poop on arrival).

☐  Balcony cushions mildew — Lochshire called out mildew on balcony chair cushions.

☐  Bath safety / mats — Non-slip mats or runners (Twickenham: slippery floors with kids).

☐  Master fan / light remotes — Present and paired (Ivybridge master remote missing → fan only with light).

☐  Wi-Fi speed + password card — Phone speed test; card matches live network.

☐  Bikes — Tires, brakes, seats; baskets = easy win (Merry Way ask).

☐  Closet hangers visible — Lochshire request.

☐  Wine opener findable — Lochshire — present or couldn’t find.
