I’m implementing the task app, since it’s now upgraded enough for my uses. But how is everyone handling upsells or special items for guests?
For instance, if I get a booking and they tell me they’re coming to celebrate a birthday, I have my cleaners put birthday candles in the welcome basket. How do I easily do that when I’m given the info from the guest, so I don’t have to remember later? It would have to be tied to the task of the previous booking’s cleaning, which I’d have to hunt and find, but then what if another booking comes in between the two? Doesn’t seem a good solution…
Another example would be for upsells. If I want to sell a proposal package, or a spa package, how do I easily tie that to the cleaning task? Again, it would have to go on the cleaning task for the previous booking.
Has anyone come up with a good solution for this?

Hi @Stay Southerly, Matt here from the engineering team

On the cleaning task we show details of the upcoming reservation of that property, including upsell details that would be relevant. Nothing additional you’d need to set up. We’ll also translate into Spanish if you have teammates with that as their preferred language in the tasks app.

We don’t have an ETA on a solution here yet, but your feedback heard and we will be looking into how we can improve notes and communication between you and your team.

We ran into exactly the same problem while building JottoGo!
The challenge wasn’t just remembering the birthday—it was making sure the right cleaner saw it at the right property, at the right time.
We ended up treating these as arrival priorities rather than booking notes. If a guest mentions a birthday, anniversary, proposal, allergies, a dog, or anything else that changes the stay, it automatically appears on the cleaner’s checklist (we call them Crew To Do) for that turnover.
That way nothing relies on memory, nothing gets buried in messages, and it doesn’t matter how many bookings come in between
It’s actually become one of our favourite parts of JottoGo because so many hosts were solving this with memory, sticky notes, or messages to their cleaners.
