I'm still pretty new to using MCP, but there's one thing I built with it that's made a real difference to my review ratings across all my properties.
Platforms remind you when you're overdue on leaving a guest a review — but they don't remind you when a guest still owes you one. That's a quiet source of "lost" reviews: guests who had a great stay but just never got round to leaving one.
So I built a review chaser: a daily automated check that scans every guest who checked out 3–14 days ago and works out who genuinely hasn't reviewed yet. Here's what it does:
- Filters out anyone who's already reviewed, booked direct/manual (no platform review to chase), already been chased twice, or shows signs of a problematic stay — complaints, unpaid fees — where asking would be awkward
- Accounts for Airbnb's blind-review window, since a guest's review can be submitted but invisible to me for up to 14 days
- Flags separately if I haven't left the guest a review either
- Drafts a suggested message for each guest that's cleared the filters
- Sorts everything into a dashboard: drafts ready to send, a few flagged as uncertain for a manual look, and a full skip list with reasons
- Nothing sends automatically — I hit "Approve & Send" or "Don't send" per guest, and a decline drops them off for good
- Reruns every morning, so anyone still unreviewed just keeps reappearing until I action them
It's made chasing reviews far less manual, and it's boosted my review rate across the portfolio. For other novices out there, I’d recommend doing something similar as it’s simple but impactful!
