We’re getting 85-90% occupancy on AirBnB. But VRBO has absolutely ZERO bookings. Listings are as identical as can be, dnyamic pricing is synced. Is anyone else facing the same issue?
Missed the full Booking.com x Hospitable workshop with myself, @Andrew Schorr, @Hakan Aktas, and the Booking.com team ? Here’s your quick-hit summary of what we covered—plus a peek at what’s coming next. 🔍 Why Booking.com? Massive reach: 1.8B+ guest arrivals and 1 in 3 bookings now in the vacation rental category. Global exposure: Marketing in 45 languages, Super Bowl ads, MLB sponsorship, and more. High visibility for new listings: Auto-imported review scores, “new” labels, and ranking boosts in your first 90 days. ⚙️ What’s New or Coming Soon AI-powered search: Guests now use natural language (“beach house with hot tub and AC”)—so listing accurate amenities is more important than ever. Guest verification: Rolling out in 2025. Hosts will soon be able to accept only verified guests. $1M damage protection insurance: Coming later this year, alongside existing $1M liability insurance. Request-to-book improvements: Messaging guests before accepting, pre-authorization support
Owner Statements and Invoices are now properly handling calculations for hosts who take Airbnb co-host payouts from Airbnb directly! Here’s how it works:When configuring our Reservation commission, let us know that you receive Airbnb co-host payouts directly from Airbnb. On your Statements or Invoices, you’ll see a few new columns: Total paid to manager/owner will include the amounts already paid by Airbnb to the manager/owner Remaining balance due to manager/owner will include any additional amount owed to the manager/owner from Flat fees that are a part of the Reservation commission, if any On your Profit & Loss and, if connected, your accounting software, you’ll notice that journal entries for commissions from Airbnb reservations are marked as paid on the check-in date, while the commissions and fees from reservations on all other platforms are marked as paid when the relevant Statement or Invoice is marked as paid. Let us know what you think!Happy Hosting,💜 Hospitable’s Mogu
Hi there,Has anyone done a detailed comparison between PriceLabs and Hospitable’s dynamic pricing? Also, I’m wondering why don’t Legacy plan users have the option to simply pay extra to add dynamic pricing? Forcing a full plan upgrade seems unfair, especially considering the major differences between the Legacy and newer plans. Switching plans would be a big downgrade for me in terms of features, so that doesn’t feel like a reasonable solution. Thanks in advance for any insight!
We’ve heard that it’s traditionally been a hotel-focused conference in the past, but that they’re increasing their Short-term rental content.I’ll be going to scope out for potential future even sponsorship there, and would love to catch up with any Hospitable Hosts that are attending! Let me know :) The conference: https://www.terrapinn.com/exhibition/novacancy/index.stm
How do you find your property on agoda? When I try to search by the city, it doesn’t even show the city listed? If I search a nearby city, I see properties around my area but mine doesn’t show up.
How do I get the AI to stop referring to the property as a condominium? Every time it makes a reply for a public response to a review for Airbnb it refers to the property as a condominium. I would prefer it use the property name or bungalow. I have made several notes in the knowledge hub but maybe I have done it wrong because it never changes. I am also unable to edit it myself and have it publish with my corrections.
