I would like to use the MCP to update the listing description. This can be any section that we currently support or part of a section. For updating part of a section, I can actually fetch the current section details, update it, and then write the whole section back. So that doesn't need to be a real feature, but updating sections data would be great. i.e I would like to update property name or summary section of one of the other ones we can today edit manually in the web app. This will allow us to update property details dynamically using scheduled tasks in the Claude. We usually put our local events which are coming up in the property description. Right now, we are doing this manually. Allowing the MCP to update these details would allow us to use Claude to pull the events and then update the property directly. 

We are receiving an error when non-admins attempt to add the hospitable MCP connector to their Claude (no, we aren’t using enterprise yet for various reasons), even though the admin account has already authorized the MCP with claude.Does anyone know the solve/workaround for this? Thanks! Elizabeth

This issue has been occurring for the past few months.Upon new guest arrival, a message is automatically sent to guests stating : “We encountered an issue while setting your code on the lock. No need to worry! Please use this code instead xxxx”The problem is that the “backup” code is always the exact code it was meant to be in the first place!Eg: if the code was always meant to be 5566 (the last 4 digits of a phone number), then this error message is sent out to the guests just before checkin saying “We encountered an issue while setting your code on the lock. No need to worry! Please use this code instead 5566”It’s confusing for guests and also unnecessary. This is happening on both ABB and BDCThanks in advance to anyone who can explain and solve this. 

Hi! We are currently using Hospitable rental agreements and occassionally will get pushback from a guest who doesn’t want to sign something off airbnb’s platform. However this guest seemed to suggest we need to disclose all the terms of a rental agreement prior to a guest booking. This seems impossible with the limited characters airbnb gives in disclosing house rules. We currently have listed in our house rules “must sign rental agreement after booking, failure to sign will result in cancellation.” What is everyone else doing to stay compliant with this? 

Has anyone been able to pull battery life for there connected locks using Claude? It doesn’t seem like its currently an option  in the MCP. I’d like to set up a trigger in slack to alert my team when batteries get low. 

Hi Hospitable Team,We are an India-based short-term rental operator currently managing around 30 properties on Hospitable and scaling toward 100 properties within the next 6 months.We are building our own direct booking website and wanted to use Hospitable Direct widgets / website integration for property availability, booking requests, calendar blocking, and guest automation.However, we are currently blocked because properties cannot be selected for the Direct site/widget unless a connected payout method is added. Hospitable support has confirmed that Direct Lite does not include payment processing and that India-compatible payout/payment setup is not available in this workflow.This means India-based hosts cannot practically use Direct widgets, even if we are willing to collect payment externally through Razorpay, UPI, bank transfer, or payment link.Our requirement is very clear:Display Hospitable properties on our website through widget/link/API or another supported method Allow gues

Feature request: please add a create-transaction MCP tool. The current MCP only has read access for transactions, but we need to write completed cleaning and maintenance task data (property, date, amount, category, notes, photos) directly to owner statements.

I cannot figure out how to get the payout or revenue number with all the other variables.  I’ve tried it so many different ways and even asked Claude a few times.  Claude can’t figure it out.  Also is there anyway to make the cleaning fee and the administration fee be pass through to the owner.  For some reason its getting put into the total and Its adding it and I only get 20% of it because thats my comission.  I need to get the whole cleaning and administration fee.  Thank you

I followed the instructions given on the Townhall to go to my Mogul business page to find the banner to take me to my profile to prepare to be matched to potential owners BUT my page doesn’t have a banner.  Can anyone else see a banner on their owner page?  I think this sounds like a great service and I am eager to be considered.  

We’re required to have every guest sign a “Good Neighbor Policy” agreement for all bookings in the town where our STRs are registered. Managing this manually has become tedious, so we’re looking for a way to automate the process.Currently, we ask guests for their email address and then send the agreement via DocuSign. DocuSign follows up with reminders until the document is signed, which works, but it’s not very efficient on our end.Ideally, we’d like a system where, immediately after booking, guests either:Automatically receive an email with the agreement, or Are sent a link (via email or message) that opens a form they can easily complete and sign.Does anyone have recommendations for tools or workflows that could help streamline or automate this process?

I’m not too confident of Smarty’s answer to this. But it’s not worth a support ticket, so I thought I’d pose the question here.I’m not able to find any documentation about the “AI Summary” that gets generated when a guest inquires or books. I haven’t found it to be very helpful, and it often raises more questions than answers, because it seems to “make stuff up” in the absence of facts and evidence.Example, here’s an Airbnb guest with 3 glowing reviews, and I use the AirReview extension to be able to see what reviews the GUEST has left for other hosts, and he’s left only glowing reviews for other hosts, and there is no indication whatsoever that this guy has any aversion to “Mold, unclean bathrooms, pests, and lack of cleanliness.”This AI Summary actually raises red flags when it shouldn’t. Is this a guest that complains? Are they going to be a problem? As far as I can tell, no. So where is the AI getting these assumptions from? Smarty says it aggregates info about the guest from other

I just saw on a FB post  that the split fee option is back for all listings. Anyone else see this and made the change back? What does this mean for the Hospitable AIRBNB Markup? 

Hi.  Does anyone know how to get pet fees to be findable on VRBO?  We have two pet friendly rentals, but there is no clear way when guests are booking to select the pet reservation, and then I am stuck pestering guests for a pet fee.   It is noted in the property description, and is set as a fee on the listing, it just never seems to pop up as an option when people book.   

Greetings All-  I am a newer host in San Antonio with a listing on Airbnb and VRBO.  In anticipation of doing direct bookings for my repeat customers (before signing up with hospitable) i applied for a sales and use tax permit.  Now I am on hospitable and realize I won't need it for direct bookings as I am on the premium plan. Question for the group;I believe I am on the hook for reporting to the state monthly now that I have the permit.  Any guidance on how to do that without convaluting what is being reported by Airbnb, vrbo and hospitable? Would i be better off canceling my permit and the reporting requirement with it?Any help is appreciated.  It is like mating elephants trying to get through to somebody at the comptroller office to answer my questions.Thanks

new to hospitable - airbnb and booking are fully managed. how do i get vrbo to also be fully managed. it shows as partially managed. TIA

Hi Derek, You helped me set up my messages from last year during onboarding with hospitable. I never turned them on until a couple of days ago. It sends the guest unit B and d codes to the same guest- it’s very frustrating. I have reached out to hospitable- no luck. I did notice the pictures were the same- all my other messages are great!  Please help me. 

Has anyone had experience restricting same day bookings on Booking.com? I am getting batted back and forth between Hospitable and Booking. Both say the other is responsible for the restriction. Any help is appreciated. 

My abnb and VRBO calendar not synced as of yesterday and i was double booked by abnb. i have resolved the issue now but i need to know hoe to prevent this from happening again?

I would love to make the jump to Hospitable but one of the major concerns I currently have is the owner portal… primarily how the financial data is displayed. We use GetClearing for booking <> bank deposit reconciliation, owner statements and utilize trust accounting with a bookkeeping team.When my owners login to their portal and view their dashboard my understanding is that the portal would only reflect gross booking revenue and maybe a reservation breakdown for each booking?Are there any customizations available that I am missing or improvements coming to how financial data is displayed to owners? I would really love the ability to create custom owner dashboards that reflect more data like what we see in the Metrics Tab. I would potentially be interested in the ability to run owner statements & payouts in Hospitable as well but again, lack of customization with how the statements are built & commission structures makes this a dealbreaker for me.Thanks!

I am writing to request technical support regarding an issue with the Schlage entry codes generated for my guests.Currently, the system initially sets the access code as the last four digits of the guest's phone number. However, prior to the scheduled check-in, guests receive an automated message stating that a problem occurred and a new, different code has been assigned.Could you please explain why these codes are being changed and how I can ensure the original code remains active? This inconsistency is causing confusion for guests during the check-in process.

I would like to harvest all of the names, phone numbers and email addresses from all prior reservations to send special offers and marketing by text and email. Does anyone have any ideas to do that? Thank you very much.
